Serum levels have been uniform and predictable from person to person and dose to dose. Serum levels of clindamycin can be maintained above the in vitro minimum inhibitory concentrations for most indicated organisms by administration of clindamycin phosphate every 8 to 12 hours in adults and every 6 to 8 hours in pediatric patients, or by continuous intravenous infusion. Rare instances of cardiopulmonary arrest and hypotension have been reported following too rapid intravenous administration.
Clostridia are more resistant than most anaerobes to clindamycin. Organisms are considered moderately susceptible if the MIC is greater than 1.
An equilibrium state is reached by the third dose. Transient neutropenia leucopeniaeosinophilia, agranulocytosis and thrombocytopenia have been reported.
This category also provides a buffer zone that prevents small, uncontrolled technical factors from causing major discrepancies in interpretation.
When filling your prescription, be sure to call ahead. Clostridia are more resistant than most anaerobes to clindamycin. Oesophageal ulcers have been reported as serious adverse events during postmarketing surveillance, and oesophagitis with oral preparations, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhoea See Section 4.
It's rare, but some people with psoriasis may benefit from the use of the antibiotic clindamycin.

Parenteral IM or IV administration. Clostridium perfringens Eubacterium spp Fusobacterium spp.
Uses of Clindamycin Oral Solution:
The prevalence of acquired resistance may vary geographically and with time for selected species and local information on resistance is desirable, particularly when treating severe infections. Frequent cases of dysgeusia have been observed upon systemic administration of clindamycin using injectables IM or IVcapsules or oral granulate solutions, which include a few non-frequent serious adverse events.
This product contains benzyl alcohol as a preservative. Alternatively, the drug may be administered in the form of a single rapid infusion of the first dose followed by continuous IV infusion.
